Bamboo Forestry

A Game Changing Alternative

The Earth’s remaining natural forests, and natural bamboo, continue to be cut down at an alarming rate in order to meet growing demand. To compensate for these dwindling resources, tree plantations have been established around the world to help offset the planet’s accelerating rate of consumption.

While tree plantations are typically harvested every 15  to 30 years, bamboo can be planted, grown to maturity and harvested all in seven to 10 years.  Bamboo also regenerates by itself, sparing the high costs of replanting.  As with any commodity, however, reasonable steps must be taken to ensure that natural ecosystems are protected, and not replaced with agricultural crops.

Booshoot is leading the way in building a new, sustainable bamboo forestry industry in the United States and around the world. Our proprietary Provitro™ technology is revolutionizing countless industries, from pulp and paper to textiles, building materials, and beyond.
